INJUNCTION FOR PROTECTION

Many people do not have the financial means to hire an attorney.  The Injunction for Protection Project (IFP Project) at Family Life Center provides free  and confidential legal assistance in injunction for protection cases.  The IFP Attorney is licensed by the Florida Bar and provides legal advice and representation in the following injunction for protection cases:

  • Domestic Violence
  • Dating Violence
  • Sexual Violence
  • Stalking
  • Violations of Injunctions for Protection

The IFP Project Attorney meets with survivors to assist them in determining whether filing a Petition for Injunction for Protection is appropriate.  The IFP Project Attorney assists survivors in completing and filing the initial petitions, provides representation at:

  • IFP hearings
  • IFP violation hearings
  • Hearings to defend against modifying or terminating injunctions
  • Hearings to requesting an extension of the injunctions

The IFP Project Attorney also makes referrals to other organizations for services not available through the IFP Project.

The IFP Project operates separately from other services provided by Family Life Center and the IFP Attorney exercises independent judgment in providing services to their clients.

If you are interested in learning more about how the IFP Project can assist you or to apply for services, please call the Family Life Center IFP Project at  386-437-7747, Ext. 416.
