About Us
Humble Beginnings
The Family Life Center was established in 1987 as the Flagler Ecumenical Social Service Center, Inc. to be operated exclusively as a tax exempt entity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 as amended and in accordance with Florida Statutes Chapter 617 with the following purposes:
- To provide temporary refuge to any adult and any accompanying minor or dependent adult.
- To educate the community on the issues of violence in our society.
- To publicize the availability of the services of the corporation to the public.
- To maintain a commitment to break the cycle of violence that is perpetuated from generation to generation by maintaining an Outreach Program for children.

Financial Information
As a recognized tax-exempt nonprofit organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, the Family Life Center seeks to be transparent in its financial operations by making the agency's IRS Form 990s publicly available.
